Haïti, sur les remparts, luttant encore contre les rançons depuis sa propre indépendance, a répondu a l'appel et a envoyé son soutien moral y compris 25 tonnes de leur café. In 1821, Greece sent a plea to Haiti for help in their struggles for Independence from the Ottoman Empire rule. Haiti, embattled and still struggling against ransoms since its own Independence, answered the call and sent moral support including 25 tons of coffee. Kafe Kombit: ‘Kombit’ aka 'Konbit' is a Haitian Kreyol term used to define a community working together towards a common goal. Kombit platform Tokens was developed by a Haitian Canadian architectural technologist, and presented by a Finnish visual artist during the Platforms Project in Athens in May 2017. Kombit is proposed as a cryptocurrency backed token with democratic voting to fund development projects in Haiti.
